The number of visitors in a trekking arena on a public holiday was 600. On the next day, which was a working day, if there were only 240 visitors, then what was the percentage decrease in number of visitors on the working day?

Visitors in a trekking area on a public holiday = 600
Visitors in the same trekking area on a working day = 240
So, decrease in number of visitors = 600 - 240 = 360
Now, percentage decrease = DecreaseOriginal Value × 100
= 360600 × 100 = 60%
Hence, percentage decrease in the number of visitors on the working day is 60%.
