  • Pituitary hormones such as follicle stimulating hormone and luteinising hormones control the maturity of reproductive parts in both males and females at the onset of adolescence.
  • Also these pituitary hormones trigger the reproductive parts, testes and ovaries, to secrete testosterone and oestrogen respectively which marks the onset of puberty.
