Explanation for the correct option

The equation of the circle is x2+y2-6x+4y-12=0

Now comparing with the general equation of the circle x2+y2+2fx+2ghy+c=0,where center of circle is (-g,-f) and radius is g2+f2-c.

Centre of the circle is 3,-2.

One end of the diameter is -1,1

Let the other end of the diameter is α,β

Using mid point formula as we know centre is the mid point of diameter.

(x1+x22,y1+y22)

∴α-12=3,β+12=-2⇒α=7,β=-5

Therefore the other end of the diameter is 7,-5

Hence, option (C) is the correct answer.
