Solution

The correct option is C Fruit
Post fertilisation changes in angiosperm plants involve endosperm formation, embryo development, seed formation and fruit formation. During the course of fertilisation in angiosperms, one male gamete fuses with the egg to form a diploid zygote which gives rise to embryo after the predetermined mode of divisions. The second male gamete fuses with the diploid secondary nucleus to form triploid endosperm which nourishes the developing embryo. Ovules at maturity or ripened ovules are known as seeds. Ripened ovary or fertilized ovary is called fruit.
