In the chromate ion CrO24, all the CrO bonds are equivalent. They have the same bond length
Similarly in the permanganate ion, MnO4, all the Mn-O bonds are equivalent. They have the same bond length.
But in dichromate ion, Cr2O27, two types of Cr-O bonds are present. One has bond length of 179 pm and the other has bond length of 163 pm.
