and height = 8 cm

$\text{Area of trapezium}=\frac{1}{2}\times \text{perpendicular height}\times \left(\text{sum of parallel sides}\right)$

$=\frac{1}{2}\times 8\times (12+9)$

$=\frac{1}{2}\times 8\times 21$

$=\frac{1}{2}\times 168=84c{m}^2$.
