The parallel sides of a trapezium are 25 cm and 11 cm. The perpendicular distance between the parallel sides is 13 cm. Find the area of the trapezium.
Area of a trapezium =12h(a+b)
where, h is the perpendicular distance between the parallel sides and
a and b are the lengths of the parallel sides.
Here, a=25 cm,
b=11 cm and
h=13 cm
Area of Trapezium
=12×(25+11)×13
=12×36×13
= 234 cm2
