The pons varoli is part of the brainstem. It is the part which is present in front of the cerebellum and above the medulla oblongata. The part is located on the ventral side of the cerebellum and is considered to be a connection between the cerebellum and one of the hemisphere. The region is responsible for the conduction of the impulses from the cerebellum to the hemisphere. The region also helps in coordination of the muscle movements.
