The correct option is B Head, base and stalk
The F0F1 complex or ATP synthase has two principal components F0 and F1, both of which are multimeric proteins. The F0 component has three types of integral membrane proteins designated as a, b and c. In all cases, the c subunit forms two donut shaped ring in the plane of membrane. The a and two b subunits are rigidly linked to one another but not to the ring of c subunit. The a, b and c chains of F0 component represent the base of F0F1 particles. The F1portion is a water soluble complex of five distinct polypeptides (three units each of α and β and one unit each of γ, ϵ and η). The F1 gamma subunit fits into c subunit of F0. This represents the so called stalk. The head is formed by alternating units of α and β chains.
