In eukaryotes, the fibrils of cilia and flagella show a typical 9+2 arrangement showing peripheral 9 doublet and 2 central single fibers.
Arrangement of fibrils is indicated in a given image. 9 doublets are arranged in a circular manner while 2 fibers present at the centre of flagella.
The movement of all these fibers induces the movement of whole flagella or cilia.
