To find the molar ratio, we divide the percentage with atomic weight of the element.
1. C, 4012=3.33
2. H, 13.331=13.33
3. N, 46.6714=3.33
Now to get the simple ratio, we divide the molar ratio with 3.33,
1. C, 3.333.33=1
2. H, 13.333.33=4
3. N, 3.333.33=1
Hence the formula of the compound is CH4N
