Let $x$ be the side of the square then

Perimeter of the square $=4xcm$$....\left(2\right)$

By equation $\left(1\right)$ and $\left(2\right)$

$4x=8a+10$

$x=\frac{8a+10}{4}$

$x=\frac{2\left(4a+5\right)}{4}$

$x=\frac{\left(4a+5\right)}{2}$

Hence$,$ the side of the square is $\frac{\left(4a+5\right)}{2}$.
