Solution

To solve this problem let us draw a circle of radius 'r'. now mark a sector as shown in fig. above. Let us assume that the arc lenght of sector is 'l'.

and the angle between them is 'theta' as also shown in fig.
NOTE- 'theta' is in radians

and we know that the arc lenght is equal to
l equals r theta
Now let us assume that perimeter of sector is P subscript 1
so, P subscript 1=r plus r plus l
P subscript 1=2 r plus r thetarightwards arrow left parenthesis p u t t i n g space l equals r theta right parenthesis
P subscript 1=r left parenthesis 2 plus theta right parenthesis
Now as given in the question there is a another semi-circle with same radius, so lets assume that perimeter of semi-circle is P subscript 2.
P subscript 2=pi rrightwards arrow left parenthesis p e r i m e t e r space o f space a space c i r c l e divided by 2 right parenthesis
And it is also given in question that P subscript 1= P subscript 2
therefore put values of P subscript 1 and P subscript 2 in above equation
r left parenthesis 2 plus theta right parenthesis=pi r
left parenthesis 2 plus theta right parenthesis=pi
theta=pi minus 2 radians
but we need the solution in degree, minute and second
we know
pi space r a d space equals space 180 degree 1 space r a d space equals space 180 degree divided by pi

theta equals left parenthesis pi minus 2 right parenthesis cross times fraction numerator 180 degree over denominator pi end fraction
left parenthesis pi minus 2 right parenthesis cross times fraction numerator 180 degree over denominator pi end fraction pi cross times fraction numerator 180 degree over denominator pi end fraction minus 2 cross times fraction numerator 180 degree over denominator pi end fraction 180 degree minus fraction numerator 360 degree over denominator pi end fraction t a k e space pi equals 3.14 180 degree minus 114.6496 degree n o w space 1 degree equals 60 apostrophe a n d space 1 apostrophe space equals 60 double apostrophe s o comma equals 180 degree minus 114 degree 32 apostrophe 44 double apostrophe equals space 65 degree 27 apostrophe 16 double apostrophe
