Perimeter of a ||gm ABCD = 22 cm

$∴$ Sum of two consecutive sides = $\frac{22}{2}$

=11 cm

i.e. AB+ BC = 11 cm

AB = 6.5 cm and let BC = x cm

$∴$ 6.5 + x = 11 cm

$∴$ Shorter side = 4.5 cm
