The perimeter of a rectangle and square are equal. If length of the rectangle $8cm$ and breadth is $6m$. Find the area (in sq.cm) of a square?

Given, length and breadth of rectangle is $8cm$ and $6cm$ respectively.
Since, perimeter of a rectangle$=2(8+6)$
$=2\left(14\right)$
$=28cm$
And also we have perimeter of square $=$ perimeter of rectangle
$\Rightarrow 4\times \text{side}=28cm$
$\Rightarrow \text{side}=\frac{28}{4}$
$\therefore \text{side}=7$
Now, are of square$={\text{side}}^2$
$=7\times 7$
$=49c{m}^2$
Hence, area of square is $49c{m}^2$
