Solution

Given,

A rectangle with perimeter =130 cm and breadth =30 cm.

We know that, perimeter of a rectangle =2(length + breadth)

Perimeter of the rectangle =130 cm

2×(length + breadth)=130 cm

length +30 cm=130 cm2

length +30 cm=65 cm

length =65 cm30 cm=35 cm

Now, Area of rectangle = length × breadth

=35 cm×30 cm

=1050 cm2

Thus, the length and the area of the rectangle are 35 cm and 1050 cm2 respectively.
