The perimeter of a rectangular field is $\frac{3}{5}$ km. If the length of the field is twice its width then find the area of the rectangle in $m^2$

Given ,$2(l+b)=\frac{3}{5}$km -(i)

Also, $l=2b$ -(ii)

Using (ii) in (i) we get,

$2\times 3b=\frac{3}{5}\Rightarrow b=\frac{1}{10}$ km

$\therefore l=\frac{1}{5}$km

$\therefore$ Area $=\frac{1}{50}{km}^2==\frac{1000\times 1000}{50}{m}^2=2\times {10}^4{m}^2$
