The perimeter of a rectangular field is $\frac{3}{5}km$. If the length of the field is twice its width. Find the area of the rectangle.

Say the length of the rectangular field is ${}^{\prime }{l}^{\prime }$ and the breadth ${}^{\prime }{b}^{\prime }$

Then given

$2(l+b)=\frac{3}{5}\Rightarrow l+b=\frac{3}{10}-\left(i\right)$

Also, $l=2b-\left(ii\right)$

Substituting $\left(ii\right)$ in $\left(i\right)$ we get

$3b=\frac{3}{10}$

$b=\frac{1}{10}$km

$\therefore l=\frac{1}{5}$km

$\therefore$ Area $=l\times b=\frac{1}{50}$km$=20$m.
