Solution

Here, the room is in the shape of a rectangle.

So, the perimeter of a room =2(length+breadth)

Given here, the perimeter of a room is 19.50metres

And the length of the room is 6.5m,

therefore on putting the respective values we get:

19.50m=2(6.5+b)19.502m=(6.5+b)

9.75-6.5=bb=3.25m

So, the area of the room =length×breadth

=3.25×6.5

=21.125m2

Hence, the area of room =21.125m2
