Solution

The correct option is A 16cm

The perimeter of a square of area 16 cm2 is ___________________

Solution

The area of a square is given by side × side

Therefore Side × side = 16

Side = 4 cm ( since we have 4 × 4 = 16; When we look at the factors of 16 ,

16 = 16 × 1

16 = 8 × 2

16 = 4 × 4 ; since the sides have to be equal , it has to be 4 × 4 = 16)

The perimeter of the square = 4 × 4 = 16 cm
