The perimeter of a square is 12cm. Its area will be _________

Solution :- The perimeter of the square = 4 $\times$ side

Given perimeter = 12 cm

Hence 12 = 4 $\times$ side

Hence side = 12 4 = 3 cm

The area of a square = side $\times$ side

=3 $\times$ 3

= 9 $c m^{2}$
