The correct option is B 3 cm, 3 cm
The area of a triangle is given by
A=s(sa)(sb)(sc)
where s is the semi-perimeter, a,b,c are the sides of the triangle.

Here,
s=5,a=4
Thus,
A=5(54)(5b)(5c)
A2=5(5b)(5c)

We also have the condition b+c=6 and so
A2=5(5b)(56+b)
A2=5(5b)(b1)

Differentiating both sides w.r.t b, we get 0=5b+(b1)(1)
0=5b+1b
Or
b=3 and therefore, c=3
