Solution

The perimeter of a triangle is the sum of all sides of a triangle.

Given the perimeter of the triangle17x+5y-11z m.

Step 1: Find the sum of two given sides.

5x+3y+z4x+y-7z____________9x+4y-6z____________

Hence, the sum of two sides of a triangle is 9x+4y-6z m.

Step 2: Subtract the sum of two sides from the perimeter of a triangle

17x+5y-11z9x+4y-6z--+______________8x+y-5z______________(changing the sign of each term)

Hence, the third side of a triangle is 8x+y-5z m.
