The perimeter of an isosceles triangle is 42 cm and its base is (3/2) times each of the equal sides. Find the length of each side of the triangle, area of the triangle and the height of the triangle.

Let two equal sides AB and AC be x & x

Base BC=32x

Perimeter=42

x+x+3x2=4232x+2x=427x2=42x=6×2=12

AB=AC=12BC=32×12=18

In ADC
AC2=AD2+DC2122=AD2+9214481=AD2AD2=63AD=63=37

Area of ABC=12×AD×BC
=12×37×18=277

Height of triangle=AD=37
