The correct option is D 50 m
Let length of rectangle be l meters and breadth be b meters.
Now, 2(l+b)=160m
l+b=80m .....(1)
Let side of square be a meters.
Perimeter of square=4a=160ma=40m
Area of square-Area of rectangle=100m2
(40)2lb=100m2
lb=1500 ....(2)
From (1), b=(80l), put in (2), we get
l(80l)=1500
80ll2=1500
l280l+1500=0
(l50)(l30)=0
l=50,30
Length of rectangle=50m
