The perimeter of the quadrant of a circle is 25 cm. Find its area. [CBSE 2012]

Let the radius of the circle be r
Now, Perimeter of quadrant = 142πr+2r
25=12×227×r+2r25=25r7r=7 cm
Area of quadrant = 14πr2=14×227×7×7=38.5 cm2
Hence, the area of quadrant is 38.5 cm2
