Solution

The correct option is D Leaves
Photoperiodism:

The response of plants to the relative length of day and night is called photoperiodism.

Reception of photoperiodic stimulus:

The leaves are the sites that detect the light/ dark duration to which the plant is exposed. The presence of a hormonal substance has been hypothesised in the leaves. Exposure of the plants to the inductive photoperiod leads to the translocation of this hormonal substance to shoot apices. This results in the conversion of shoot apical meristem into floral meristem, thereby causing flowering. Even though shoot apices modify themselves into flowering apices, they cannot perceive photoperiods.

Final answer:
d. Leaves.
