We know if $x$ fraction of total items is shown on a pie chart, $angle\theta =x\times {360}^{\circ }$

⇒​ $x=\frac{\theta }{{360}^{\circ }}$;
where $x=\frac{Numberofparticularitemssold}{Totalnumberofitemssold}$

∴​ Number of particular items sold $=\frac{\theta }{{360}^{\circ }}\times 1080$​

Pens $=\frac{{120}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}\times 1080=360$

Notebooks $=\frac{{100}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}\times 1080=300$​

Books $=\frac{{65}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}\times 1080=195$

Others = $\frac{{75}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}\times 1080=225$
