Which of the two families X or Y, do you think is more environmentally conscious and why?

The family 'X' is more conscious about the environment because they dispose of their kitchen waste and polythene bags separately.

Biodegradable wastes can be converted into compost. On the contrary, non-biodegradable wastes cannot be recycled or decomposed. Kitchen wastes are biodegradable and polythene bags are non-biodegradable. Thus, disposing of them separately has this advantage that biodegradable wastes can be directly taken for composting.
