The wavefront LM is obliquely incident on the surface of water at an angle of incidence 60. If the distance MM=10 cm, find distance LL. Take refractive index of water equal to 43.

As LM and LM are the incident and refracted wavefronts respectively, the distances MM and LL are covered by the rays of light in the same interval of time.
