The point A is on a mountain which is 5700 meters above sea level and the point B is a mine which is 39600 meters below sea level . Find the vertical distance between A and B

since The point A is on a mountain which is 5700 meters above sea level

so the height of the point = +5700 m

the point B is a mine which is 39600 meters below sea level

the height of B = - 3960

therefore vertical distance between A and B = (5700)- ( -3960)

=5700+39600

= 45300 meter
