If a point (x,y) divides the line segment joining the points A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2) in the ratio m : n,

then, x = (mx2+nx1m+n) and y = (my2+ny1m+n)

Here, x1=3, x2=7, y1=6, y2=10, m = 3 and n = 1.

x = 3(7)+1(3)3+1 and y = 3(10)+1(6)3+1

x = 6 and y = 9

The point is (6,9).
