Solution

The correct option is A 111000

Let the population in the year 1980 be x
The population in the year 1985 = x + (10% of x)
=x+10100×x=11x10
The population in the year 1990 = 11x10+10% of 11x10
11x10+10100 of 11x10

11x10+10100×11x10

11x10+11x100
110x+11x100
121x100
According to the problem,

Population of the city in the year 1990 =1,34,310
121x100 = 1,34,310
or, x=1,34,310×100121=1,11,000
