The correct option is C 6000
The population of the town grew from 3,600 to 4,800 in three years.
Hence, the growth during this 3 year span = 4,800 - 3,600 = 1,200

The rate of growth of population is given to be constant.
Hence, population growth per year = 1,200/3 = 400

Hence, total population after three years
= 4,800 + (4003)
= 4,800 + 1,200
= 6,000
Hence, C is the correct answer.
