Solution
The correct option is D5600 Suppose the number of males in the village before increases was x. Then, the number of females =(9800−x) Given, (x+8% of x)+(9800−x)+5% of (9800−x)=10458 ⇒1.08x+1.05×(9800−x)=10458 ⇒1.08x+1.05×9800−1.05x=10458 ⇒0.03x=10458−10290=168 ⇒x=168×1003=5600
