Let the initial population 2 years ago be x

Given percentage of migration in first year =6% of x

Remaining population 94%ofx=(94x100)

Migration percentage in second year 4% of (94x100)

Remaining population after 2 years =96%of94x100

Given 3,15,840=94×96×x100×100

x=315840×100×10094×96

=35×100×100=35,00,000

Initial Population x=3,50,000
