Solution

The correct option is C Netid

The portion of the IP address that identifies the network is called as Netid.

Netid – The portion of the IP address that identifies the network called the netid. Hostid – The portion of the IP address that identifies the host or router on the network is called the hostid.

In network addressing, the host address, or the host ID portion of an IP address, is the portion of the address used to identify hosts (any device requiring a Network Interface Card, such as a PC or networked printer) on the network. The Internet is a collection of IP subnetworks.

The last three octets are zeros because the first octet is a 10, which is in the Class A range of 1-126. To find the broadcast address of the IP address, turn on the host bits: 10.255.255.255. The valid hosts are the numbers in between the network address and the broadcast address: 10.0.0.1 through 10.255.255.254.

Networking. Share. In classful addressing, an IP address of class A, B and C is divided into netid and hostid. The netid determines the network address while the hostid determines the host connected to that network.
