The correct option is B 5.28 cm
Divide the figure into 2 rectangles ABCH and DEGF ,assigning the x and y axis:


Area of rectangle DEGF
A1=16 cm2

Area of rectangle ABCH
A2=12 cm2

Let us consider c1 and c2 to be the centres of mass of the two rectangles. Then,
coordinates of c1(x1,y1)=(0,7)
coordinates of c2(x2,y2)=(0,3)

To find the CM of the T shape, apply the formula by considering the CM's of the individual rectangles and their areas.

yCM=A1y1+A1y2A1+A2=(16×7)+(12×3)16+12=14828=5.28 cm

From the figure of T shape, we can see that body is symmetrical about y axis, so the CM of body will lie on the y axis only.
i.e xCM=0

Hence, CM of the T shape will lie at a distance of 5.28 cm from point O.
