Reason why the atom of element C has a larger size than the atom of element A.

  1. Because atom of element C belongs to period 3rd and has 3 shells.
  2. The atom of element A belongs to period 2nd and will only have 2 shells.
  3. That's the reason why an atom of element C would have a larger atomic size than an atom of element A.
