Solution

The correct option is A ±12
Given : tan1(x1x2)+tan1(x+1x+2)=π4

tan1⎜ ⎜ ⎜x1x2+x+1x+21x1x2x+1x+2⎟ ⎟ ⎟=π4 ...... [Using formula of tan1a+tan1b]

⎜ ⎜ ⎜x1x2+x+1x+21x1x2x+1x+2⎟ ⎟ ⎟=tan(π4)

x1x2+x+1x+2=1x1x2x+1x+2 ....... [tanπ4=1]

x2+x2+x2x2x24=1x21x24

2x24=x24x2+1
2x2=1x=±12
