Given,
V=5cos2πft and I=2sin2π ft

Average power dissipated is an AC circuit is given by , P=VIcosθ

Using sin(90o+θ)=cosθ

We have V=5sin(2πft+π2)

Phase difference between V and I is θ=π2

Therefore the power dissipated is 0.

Hence, option (a) is the correct answer.
