For the first loop : $12 = 5 i + i_{1}$
For second loop : $0 = 7 (i - i_{1}) - i_{1} \Rightarrow 8 i_{1} = 7 i$
Therefore we obtain : $12 = 5 i + \frac{7}{8} i = \frac{47}{8} i \Rightarrow i = \frac{12 \times 8}{47} = 2.04 A$
