The correct option is B 2 s
Given U=6x+8y
F=dUdx^i+dUdy^j
=6^i8^j ;
ax=Fxm=3 m/s2

Given, initial x coordinate xi=6
When it crosses the y axis, x coordinate is zero.
i.e xf=0,
sx=xfxi=6 m

Applying 2nd eqn of motion in the x direction:
sx=uxt+12axt2
6=12×(6)2t2=0t=2 s
