$Let Anita’s present age be x . Then, her mother’s present age = 3 x$

$After 7 years, Anita’s age = x + 7 Anita's mother’s age = 3 x + 7$

Sum of Anita and Anita's mother's age after 7 years = 74

$\Rightarrow x + 7 + 3 x + 7 = 74 \Rightarrow 4 x + 14 = 74 \Rightarrow 4 x = 60 \Rightarrow x = 15$

$∴ Anita’s age is 15 years.$
