Here given that,

Age of Harish is $x$ years

In Question (a) we have to find his age $5$ years from now

so, $5$ years from now means that addition of $5$

i.e- His age $5$ years from now is $x+5$ years

Hence, Harish age $5$ years from now is $x+5$ years

In question (b) we have to find his age $15$ years back

So, $15$ years back means that substraction of $15$

i.e- His age $15$ years back is $x-15$ years

Hence Harish age $15$ years back is $x-15$ years
