The correct option is B 128P
Given: Initial volume of gas = V
Initial pressure of gas = P
Solution: As we know,
P1Vγ1=P2Vγ2 (1)
For diatomic gases,
γ=1.4
Also, V2=V132 (given)
So, from equation (1) the final pressure of gas is given by,
P2=P1×(V1V2)γ
On subtituting the values we get,
P2=P1×(V1V132)1.4
Therefore, P2=128P1
Hence, the correct option is (B).
