Solution

Let the cost of 1 kg apples = Rs xLet the cost of 1 kg mangoes = Rs yNow,xy = 54x = 5y4 .....1Now, cost of 3 kg apples + cost of 4 kg mangoes = Rs 1863x + 4y = 186 .......2Putting the value of x from 1 in 2, we get3×5y4 +4y = 18615y+16y 4 = 18631y = 186×4y = 24Now, from 1, we getx = 5y4 = 54×24 = 30So, cost of 1 kg apples = Rs 30cost of 1 kg mangoes = Rs 24cost of 2 kg mangoes = Rs 24×2 = Rs 48
