The price of a scooter is Rs.55,000. it depreciates at the rate of $10$ in the first year, $15$ in the second year and $20$ in the third year. What will the value of the scooter be after 3 years?

In the $1^{st}$ years,

p = Rs 56,000

R = 10%

T=1.

$\therefore SI=\frac{P\times R\times T}{100}$

$=\frac{55000\times 10\times 1}{100}$

= Rs 5500

$\therefore p_{1}Rs(55000-5500)$

=Rs 49,500

In the 2${}^{nd}$ years

$p_1$ = Rs 49,500

r=15%

T=1.

$SI=\frac{p_1\times R\times T}{100}$

$=\frac{49,500\times 15\times 1}{100}$

=7425

$\therefore p_2$ RS(49,500-7425)

=Rs.42075

In the $3^{rd}$ years $p_2$ = Rs 42075

R=20

T=1

$\therefore s_1=\frac{p_2\times R\times T}{100}=\frac{42075\times 20\times 1}{100}=Rs8415.$

$\therefore p_3$ Rs (42075-8415) Rs.33660

Hence value of the can after 3 years Rs 33660.
