It is given that present price of a shirt =118.80

Price reduced by 12%

Let the original price be x

Step 2:Find 12% of x

12% of x =12100×x

=12x100

Now the present price after 12% of decrement.

=x-12x100

=88x100

After decrement of 12% present price =118.80

88x100=118.80

x=118.80×10088

x=1188088

x=88×13588

x=135

Hence, the original salary after the decrement is 135
