The price of an article increases from Rs 960 to Rs 1080. Find the percentage increase in the price.

It is given that
Increase in the price of an article $1080 - 960 = R s 120$
We know that
Percentage increase in the price = $120 / 960 \times 100$
By further calculation
= $1 / 8 \times 100$
So we get
$= 100 / 8$ %
$= 25 / 2$ %
$= 12.5$ %
